Chip and Joanna Gaines obtained popularity while remodeling houses for the highly successful show Fixer Upper. Fixer Upper ran for five seasons and granted fans peeks of the Gaines’ farm, children, and countless animals. At times, viewers caught glimpses of the Gaines’ home, which truly embodies Joanna’s rare taste.
The 1,700 square-foot home sits on a 40-acre property in Texas. Initially, the Victorian home was built in 1895 with only two-bedrooms, which is very small considering the Gaines have five children! Before moving into the house, the Gaines spent over a year renovating the space.

“Because we live in a farmhouse, our home will always have that foundational aesthetic—so whenever I feel like a space could use a change,” Joanna revealed on the couple’s website, Magnolia. “I’m intentional about making choices that not only support the needs and interests of our family in that season, but that also reflect my evolving design style. That’s why you’ll see that a sweeping shift in our house has been incorporating styles other than farmhouse that I tend to gravitate towards, like modern, rustic, and industrial, with the goal of creating a more refined overall look.”

While the couple’s hit show might have come to a close on HGTV, the show is getting a reboot on the Gaines’ own network! In an interview with People, Joanna opened up about the project. She stated:
“Getting back on camera, it was like, ‘What? Where do we look? What do we do?’ But I think we’re starting to get the hang of it. It feels kind of like we dusted off our boots and this is Fixer 2.0.”
