AC/DC makes a triumphant return with first live show in 7 years.

The wait is over, AC/DC fans! The legendary rock band made a thundering comeback with their first live performance in seven years at the Power Trip festival, held in the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. An event that had been anticipated not just by fans in the state, but by AC/DC fans from all over the world.

The rock band took center stage on Saturday, October 7th. The band’s line-up featured the familiar faces of Brian Johnson, Angus Young, and Cliff Williams. As well as, Stevie Young who graced the stage with his guitar, and Matt Laug took his spot behind him with the drums.

For many, the highlight of the evening was witnessing vocalist Brian Johnson’s return to performing with the band. It’s been a long hiatus since Johnson last sang with AC/DC in September 2016 in Philadelphia during their Rock Or Bust world tour. His voice, still as electrifying as ever, filled the air and was great to hear again after so many years.

The first song they opened the show with.

Opening their set with “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” – a track they’ve never used as an opener before – the band made sure that the night was filled with surprises. As expected, the crowd was treated to renditions of the timeless AC/DC classics. From the unforgettable riffs of “Highway To Hell” to the pulsating beats of “Thunderstruck” and the iconic “Back In Black,” the night was a trip down memory lane.

Yet, AC/DC is not a band to rest solely on past accomplishments. True to their creative spirits of new music, they introduced live debuts of “Demon Fire” and “Shot In The Dark.” Both tracks are from their 2020 album Power Up.
