Billy became an instant star on the Discovery Channel show, Alaskan Bush People, which captivated viewers while following Billy and his family’s unorthodox lifestyle in isolation. Unfortunately, Billy’s home was also very hard on his health. According to The Sun, Billy’s doctors advised him to move to a lower elevation, but the reality star ignored their warnings. Billy later died from a seizure when he was 68 years old.

One year later, his family is still mourning and truthfully, it’s safe to say they will never stop.

According to Outsider, Billy’s son, Bear, posted a tribute to his later father on the anniversary of his death. He wrote, “One year ago today I lost my Dad, Da. It hasn’t gotten any easier without him, I still miss him just as much! It seems like we lost him only yesterday.”

After his father’s death, Bear Brown made his Instagram account private, but you can request to follow him here.

Bear continued, “In truth, nothing eases the pain. I just try to be the best I can for those around me and I’m trying to enjoy every moment of every day that I have with ones I love! Life is far too short to take for granted the time we have! Live, love, laugh. Be free and remember you never know when it’s the last time you’ll see someone you care about, or when it might be your last day! Don’t take it for granted. God bless.”

The Brown family is in our prayers.
