Alison Krauss & Union Station Cancel Remaining 2026 Shows On Doctors’ Orders

Alison Krauss will step away from the stage for now to focus on her health. As a result, the remainder of her and Union Station’s tour has been canceled.
The band shared the news in a statement on social media Thursday, September 10.
They’ve been traveling to cities across the country since April for their 2026 Arcadia Tour, but the final 17 shows will no longer take place. Those dates and cities include:
- 9/11 – Davenport, IA
- 9/12 – Highland Park, IL
- 9/13 – Champaign, IL
- 9/15 – Evansville, IN
- 9/16 – Danville, KY
- 9/18 -9/20- Nashville, TN
- 9/22 – St. Louis, MO
- 9/24 – Austin, TX
- 9/25 – Norman, OK
- 9/26 – Lubbock, TX
- 9/28 – Flagstaff, AZ
- 9/29 – Las Vegas, NV
- 10/1 – Alpine, CA
- 10/2 – Paso Robles, CA
- 10/3 – San Francisco, CA
Why Is Alison Krauss & Union Station Canceling Their Tour?
The difficult decision was made after Krauss’ doctors advised her to go on vocal rest. The statement posted on Instagram reads:
“It is with great regret that Alison Krauss & Union Station have announced the cancellation of our upcoming tour dates. After consulting with medical professionals, Alison has been advised to take a period of vocal rest to ensure a full and healthy recovery.”
Fans who purchased tickets will receive a full refund. If they have any questions, they can reach out to the ticket seller they purchased from.
Right now, there’s no word on when Krauss will perform live again. She hasn’t gone into detail about what led to her needing to vocal rest, but this isn’t the first time she has dealt with a similar issue.
In 2013, she was diagnosed with a vocal condition called dysphonia, which can cause involuntary spasms of the vocal cords and make it difficult or even impossible to sing.
Krauss and Union Station were touring in support of their latest album, Arcadia. The bluegrass band released the album in March 2025. It was the first album they had released together in more than 14 years.
