Every 4th of July Thousands Of Companies Get More And More Creative With Their Sales

This year a dealership in rural Chatom, Alabama has come up with a sale that offers an American flag, a bible, and a 12-gauge shotgun with every purchase of a new or certified pre-owned car between June 19th and July 31st.

The dealership’s general manager, Kody Palmer, says that they are in a very small town and wanted to show support to the beliefs of their local community. He can be seen in the video below promoting the sale. The video has since gone viral and has already racked up nearly 120,000 views.

“We live in a small town of 1,200 people. It’s a very small, rural area. They lean on their religious beliefs, their pride in America and they love to hunt.” Kody Palmer

“CELEBRATING JULY 4th FROM NOW UNTIL JULY 31 HERE AT CHATOM FORD!!! EVERY VEHICLE PURCHASED NEW OR PREOWNED WILL COME WITH A BIBLE, 12 GAUGE SHOT GUN, AND AMERICAN FLAG!! THIS IS A SMALL GIFT TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS AND A OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO CELEBRATE OUR INDEPENDENCE…..” Chatom Ford Dealership

The Dealership Isn’t Just Giving Out Free Guns

The dealership has partnered with a local certified firearms dealer and  another dealer in Mississippi. When you purchase a vehicle you get the bible and the American flag. If you are 18 years or older and are legally able to own a gun in your registered state, you will also receive a certificate to go to one of the partnered certified firearms dealers. The certificate and bill of sale from the car dealership is what gets you the free 12-gauge shotgun.

The dealership also mentions that the promotion is extra and that it is not mandatory to leave the dealership with a flag, bible, and gun after purchasing a vehicle.

“This is just showing support for our local community. Anyone that doesn’t 100% agree with what we’re portraying, we’re not trying to force our beliefs on anybody. We respect anybody that disagrees, no matter how vehemently they do.”  Kody Palmer said in an interview with USA Today
