Abdul Gene Malik from Mount Dora, Florida has been named by his fans as the perfect Florida Man after a video surfaced of him capturing an alligator in a 3ft trash can.

“I got kids to protect,” Abdul said, according to a TMZ report.

The alligator was in his yard near the neighborhood kids and his own children so the Army veteran decided to take ownership of the problem and handle the threat himself.

With a 3ft black trash bin, he pushed it towards the gator with the lid open.

The gator tried to back away towards the house but the Army vet continued to advance towards the gator and then flipped the lid over once it got close enough to the trash can.

The lid popped the gator on the head stunning it for a brief moment and then started thrashing around. At this point, Abdul pushes the can and the gator trashes right into it with the lid closing with its tail hanging out about halfway.

He then lifted the trash bin upright to a standing position and the gator finally slide all the way in and he closed the lid. The onlookers standing around watching were laughing, screaming, filming videos, and cheering him on for his bravery.
