In 2019, Ashley McBryde won the New Artist of the Year Award at the CMA Awards. She’s gone on to experience continued success since then, and was nominated in three categories at the 2020 ceremony.

She was up for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (for Never Will) and Musical Event of the Year (for “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” with Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Elle King, Tenille Townes, and Caylee Hammack).

McBryde was also given a performance slot during the ceremony. She used the opportunity to share one of her most impactful songs to date, “One Night Standards.”

“One Night Standards” was released in September 2019 as the lead single off of Never Will. McBryde co-wrote the track with Nicolette Hayford and Shane McAnally.

The song went on to claim the #1 spot on the country chart in Canada. It peaked at the 11th spot on the Country Airplay chart in the U.S. and crossed over to claim the 76th position on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

Its music video was released in December 2019 and has over 14 million views on YouTube. The song itself has since been certified Gold by the RIAA.

The success of “One Night Standards” was one big piece of the puzzle that led McBryde to her New Artist of the Year trophy at the 2019 CMA Awards. So it was definitely a full circle moment to hear her perform the song during the 2020 ceremony.

As always, McBryde delivered a knockout awards show performance that is worth watching again and again. Check it out below.

Congratulations to McBryde on accomplishing so much throughout her career. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her!
