Beth & Rip’s “Yellowstone” Spin-Off Adds A Familiar Face As Finn Little Joins The Cast

Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton And Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler Will Be At The Center Of Their Own Show
When Yellowstone ended in December 2024, viewers were sad to say “goodbye” to favorite characters such as Lloyd, Teeter, Kayce, Carter, Beth, and Rip.
Fortunately, many of these beloved characters are now getting spin-offs. It’s been confirmed that a series following Kayce Dutton, Y: Marshals, will premiere on CBS in the Spring of 2026.
Kelly Reilly‘s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser‘s Rip Wheeler will be at the center of another spin-off. That show is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year (2025).
Not much is known about the Beth and Rip series. It’s been called Dutton Ranch online, but Hauser says that isn’t its name.
Hauser also said he and Reilly have been working hard to ensure the new show is “special” for Yellowstone fans who loved Beth and Rip.
“We can expect the same that we’ve been doing for the last seven years. Kelly and I [are] going and working our a– off trying to create something special.”
Finn Little To Reprise His Role As Carter In New Yellowstone Spin-Off
After news broke that a Beth and Rip spin-off was in the works, Yellowstone fans wondered if the series would also include Carter.
Carter (played by Finn Little) was introduced to Yellowstone during Season 4. He was a troubled boy who came to the Yellowstone ranch following his father’s death. He became close to Beth and Rip, with many fans viewing him as their adopted son.
Because Carter played such an important role in Beth and Rip’s story, it only seemed right for him to be part of their spin-off. On July 11, Deadline reported that Finn Little will return to reprise his role as Carter in the still-unamed Yellowstone spin-off series.
The outlet stated they obtained their information through “sources,” and Paramount+ declined to comment. However, Little himself seemingly confirmed Deadline’s report when he shared their article on Instagram:
“Must be true then…” he said.
