Summer is upon us, and so are the season’s hottest treats. Snow cones, ice cream, frozen drinks…’tis the season to enjoy all of our favorites. But, we think there’s something crucial missing on our summer treat menu – comfort food.

If you live in a part of the country that sees raging temps throughout the summer months, you probably know what it’s like to turn on the oven to cook supper only to heat up your entire house with the heat radiating from the oven. You may be thinking, “What about cooking on the grill?” The grill is great for cooking veggies and meat, but not the good ol’ comfort foods that we crave after a hard day’s work.

Well, we’ve come up with a solution. Why not freeze your favorite comfort foods so they are ready to eat whenever the craving strikes? You can prepare the food early in the day (or even weeks ahead of time) and put it in popsicle molds. Freeze until you’re ready to enjoy.
