Luke Bryan Finds Himself Target Of Blake Shelton’s Teasing

If you’re Blake Shelton‘s friend, just know that the more he makes fun of you, the more he probably likes you. As we’ve seen over the years, Shelton likes to tease his best buddies more than anyone else, with Trace Adkins, Adam Levine, and Kelly Clarkson being just a few such friends.

One other pal who often finds himself the butt of Shelton’s jokes is Luke Bryan. In fact, we got the chance to see the two bicker for years when they hosted the ACM Awards together.

So whenever Shelton and Bryan get together, it’s no surprise when they start poking fun at each other. But their friendly feud is so strong that they even shoot insults at one another when they aren’t in the same place!

Shelton & Friends Host Nashville Trivia Challenge

On the morning of the CMT Music Awards, Shelton and Hoda Kotb of The Today Show gathered at his brand-new Ole Red bar in Nashville. Together, the two announced the final nominees for the Video of the Year category and had a fun time celebrating all things country music while thousands watched from home.

With a little help from Thomas Rhett and Darius Rucker, Shelton and Kotb quizzed a few of the bar patrons on their country music and Nashville knowledge. One of the questions, for example, was which child star Dolly Parton serves as the godmother to. The answer? Miley Cyrus!

But the first question the stars asked had to do with all of the bars that have recently popped up in Nashville. Within the past few years, it seems that more and more country stars have opened bars in Music City…including Shelton!

Shelton Shoots A Jab At Bryan

The question Shelton posed to one Ole Red patron was this: Which country artist does not own a bar in Nashville? He then read him off three potential answers: Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Dierks Bentley.

Do y’all know the answer?

The fan that Shelton asked did. He named Bryan as the one who doesn’t have a bar in Nashville, and he’s correct. Florida Georgia Line has their FGL House, while Dierks Bentley has Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row.

Once the fan answered the question by saying Bryan’s name, Shelton couldn’t help but poke fun at his buddy.

“What a loser that guy is!” he exclaimed with a laugh. That prompted a good chuckle from everyone in the room, especially Kotb and Rucker.

After that little jab, maybe Bryan will consider opening a bar in Nashville now. Then Shelton will have no room to talk!
