ACM Adds Major Star Power To Awards Show

The ACM promised a star-studded lineup of performers for its 2019 awards ceremony, and it definitely delivered!

We learned the first batch of artists performing when the ACM made a grand announcement on March 12. It was then revealed that artists such as George Strait, Dierks Bentley, and Miranda Lambert were on the bill, with the ACM promising that more performer announcements would follow.

Those announcements continued over the coming weeks, with the final batch of performers being announced just days before the awards were set to take place.

In that announcement, it was revealed that five-time ACM Award-winner and the show’s former host, Blake Shelton, would be performing….and it didn’t take long for fans to figure out what he would be singing.

Blake’s New Single Speaks To The Soul

The superstar artist and Voice coach has a new single on his hands, titled “God’s Country.” The track was just released a little over a week before the ACM Awards took place.

In a press release issued prior to the song’s debut, Shelton explained the song’s meaning:

“But no matter where you are from or where you’re standing it is my belief that you’re standing in God’s Country. It’s really about a state of mind. Wherever you’re from and how you feel about that place. For me, it’s about being from Oklahoma – where I was born, raised and still live today.”

The powerful song features an almost rock-like production, which enhances Shelton’s passionate delivery. It’s a song that can give you goosebumps in an instant, no matter what part of the country you’re from.
