Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan have always shared a playful rapport. That’s what made them so much fun to watch as co-hosts of the ACM Awards for several years.

The two pals look for any opportunity they can find to make fun of each other. Shelton found such an opportunity during CMA Fest this year.

Bryan was a surprise guest during the Spotify House showcase during CMA Fest. What made his appearance kind of comical was the fact that he sang at Shelton’s Ole Red bar and restaurant on Lower Broadway in Nashville.

That was funny enough, but there was more humor to be found in the fact that Bryan’s own bar is right across the street from Ole Red! Bryan’s bar is called 32 Bridge…and as you can see in the map below, it’s just steps away from Ole Red.

Shelton caught wind of Bryan’s Ole Red performance, and knew he had to tease him about it. In a video he posted on his Instagram Stories, Shelton said:

Well, well well. Luke Bryan. You know, I’m glad that you made the right decision, Luke. I’m glad that you decided to come and perform at a real music venue, rather than your place across the street.”

After he poked fun at Bryan, Shelton shared a sincere message for his friend. “Welcome to Ole Red, buddy,” he said. “Love you Spotify. Actually, love you too, Luke. Have a good show.”
