When Arizona Coyotes season ticket holders, Eitan and Ronit Urman, were asked to drop the ceremonial first puck at the season’s final game, they had no idea what was about to happen.
Wearing their best Arizona Coyotes gear, the husband and wife walked out onto the ice and awaited the ceremonial puck drop.
But what happened next brought them to their knees.
The announcer surprised the couple, saying,
Urman family, we have a special guest delivering tonight’s game puck. Please direct your attention to the Coyotes’ tunnel and welcome home from Afghanistan your son, Sgt. Dan Urman!
The proud mother and father couldn’t believe their eyes as their son ran onto the ice. The soldier’s father was so excited that he ran and slipped, but that didn’t stop him from giving his son a huge hug!
His mom ran behind, holding her son as hard as she could as she cried in disbelief.
After the emotional reunion, together the Urman family dropped the ceremonial puck and the game began.
