Has Luke Bryan changed careers and become a fisherman?
Ok, no. But maybe he should consider after his impressive Sailfish catch!
While enjoying some tropical time down in Costa Rica, Bryan went out for a little fishing trip. And what he came back with was definitely not little…
Bryan posted a picture of his latest catch via Twitter, captioning it, “Beautiful fish.“
We’d have to agree!
According to CMT, Bryan went fishing with Samuel Merkin of Quepos Fishing, and with some friends and family.
After five hours, the country singer and his guide were able to catch six sailfish, each one weighing around 130 pounds! But, Merkin said the big catch was all Bryan!
Alison from CMT spoke to Merkin, getting the details on the fishing trip.
He told her, “Luke wanted to do it himself, and he did. When the sailfish was behind the boat, Luke took his own rod and pitched his own bait, letting the line out.“
He admitted,
The hard part is knowing when to set the hook. But Luke was patient, and he waited until the fish swam away before he put pressure on the rod. A lot of people can’t do that.
