A Weeping Kenny Chesney Is Consumed By Emotion Singing ‘Better Than A Memory’

Country Music Is Love

A loving crowd swarms around the stage during Kenny Chesney’s sold-out concert and cheer as they hear him play all of their favorites.

His 2009 Sun City Carnival Tour was a great example of how beloved the singer is in the country world and proved to be an immense success. It was also a very emotional time for Chesney.

Around that same time, the country star had made the decision to take a break from touring and as he recalls that in his very last performance of the tour, he is overwhelmed with emotion and the floodgates open.

The final show in Lucas Oil Stadium drew close to 50,000 fans to Indianapolis, Indiana and showcased Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert, and Sugarland

While he revealed he wouldn’t be touring in the upcoming year, he also promised he would not disappear completely.

Chesney’s “Better Than A Memory” concluded the tour and was the perfect choice for the final song. Coming in as his 14th No. 1 hit, the songs touching lyrics struck a chord inside the singer that brought tears to his eyes.

This heartfelt performance shows just how much love his fans have for him when they take over the lead vocals in unison to help the final show become an experience-of-a-lifetime.
