Loretta Lynn’s Only Surviving Son Makes Her Proud With A ‘Message To Jesus’

Loretta Lynn has chartered a career in country music spanning more than 50 years and an endless number of songs, but no moment was she a more proud mother than when her only surviving son picked up a mic alongside her.

Her son Ernest Ray Lynn was born in April 1954 as her third child and second son. Tragically, just over 30 years later his only brother Jack Benny Lynn would die in a horrible drowning accident.

When Ernest joins his mama on stage, the two sing one of the most beautiful and touching songs ever written “Message To Jesus”

His voice gracefully complements her own with a smooth, yet twangy country sound that could only be created by country royalty.

Loretta has a huge musical family with most of her children engaged in singing careers and even her little granddaughter singing her heart out!

Her twin daughters, Peggy and Patsy are in a band together called The Lynns, while Loretta’s sister, Crystal Gayle, has issued a number of hit songs to the country and pop charts!

Watch this beautiful religious ballad and one of Loretta’s proudest moments as a mother in the video below!
