Claustrophobic Country Star’s Worst ‘Nightmare’ Comes True
on Mar 17, 2016
Thanks to her hit single, “Burning House,” Cam is currently one of the hottest names in country music. She got the chance to live out a dream when “Burning House” was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance.
With a total of four ACM Awards nominations as well, it seems that Cam is really living the dream. But on Thursday morning (Mar. 17), one of her worst nightmares came true.
Cam, who is a self-described claustrophobic, was riding in an elevator when it stopped, leaving her stuck inside. Even those who aren’t claustrophobic can understand how terrifying such an experience would be.
Luckily, Cam wasn’t alone in the elevator. Her fiancé, Adam Weaver, was with her as well, and Cam says he helped her conquer her fear in order to get through the ordeal.
“Turns out love can conquer claustrophobia,” she wrote.
Got stuck in an elevator this morning (my nightmare) but my fiancé was there and turns out love can conquer claustrophobia ❤️ @AdamNWeaver

Cam and her fiancé made it out alright, much to Cam’s relief we’re sure. We think the whole thing could serve as a source of inspiration for a new song!
Maybe Cam will eventually write a song about her elevator experience some day, but in the meantime, enjoy listening to her sing her smash hit, “Burning House” below.
