Missy Robertson Shares Sweet Stories Of How Her Family Makes Her Happy

CBN.com

Every Monday, Duck Dynasty‘s Missy Robertson shares a piece of herself by way of blog post. She calls it “Missy Motivation Monday“.

We wait for it each week as she writes about her life as a mother, wife, Christian, and her stories are always moving.

This week, she tells the story of how her pastor, Dr. Trent Langhofer, asked his congregation to stop and think about their “happy place“. Immediately, she thought of special moments with her husband, Jase, and her three children, Reed, Cole and Mia

A moment in particular that she thought of as her “happy place” was in her living room, watching her children sing and play music together. All of her kids are musically gifted, as is she, so watching them perform is one of her favorite things to do.

A few weeks later, she “got another glimpse of a ‘happy place’,” she writes.

Missy and her husband travelled to Monterey, California to spend a few romantic nights together while on a media tour for her book Blessed, Blessed…Blessed. Jase was able to play golf at the world-famous Pebble Beach golf course and seeing how happy he was, put Missy in another “happy place“.

“The reason Trent urged us to think of this ‘happy place’ was to remind us that this world is not our home,” she explains. “As many wonderful experiences we have on this earth, we should be longing to be in heaven with our Father and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Until they meet Him in heaven, Missy says, she realizes that “He has entrusted me here on this earth to do His work. I can’t give up.” And as a Robertson, we know she won’t.
