What happens when you line up two experts in scotch whiskey and feed them cheap versions of their favorite beverage? Well, the end result is admittedly quite entertaining!
Rick Edwards, a Master of Scotch and Kat Aagesen, a Single Malt Specialist were paired up for this hilarious video that exposes their true thoughts on today’s cheap whiskey.
Before the testing began, they each talked about why they love whiskey so much.
“My grandfather always told me that breakfast is the most important drink of the day,” Edwards began. “What I look for in whiskey is that first impression.”
“I like the way that when you’re drinking [whiskey],” Aagesen said. “You’re drinking art…and history.”
These two experts and aficionados start off this adventure with some Wild Turkey 101, and use terms like “aggressive”, “rubber”, and “nail polish” to describe the drink.
For the next four drinks, they will get a little buzzed and begin throwing out even wilder reviews like “sweaty shoes”, “a real tongue shaver”, and “this needs more whiskey”.
But just wait until they get to the last one on the list: Fireball.
