Distraught Mother Brought To Tears By Emotional Moment With Garth Brooks

During a tour stop in Ontario, Canada the legendary country artist picks a special fan out of the audience and gives her a gift that she will remember forever. 

Sophie Goudreau, a real estate agent, went to Garth Brooks’ concert for her birthday and brought a special sign with her hoping that her favorite singer would see it. 

“Can you sing ‘Mom’ for my Birthday?!” The sign read in big lettering. 

Brooks took notice of the sign between songs and strummed a chord for the audience to sing her a special “Happy Birthday” alongside him! But, this country legend didn’t stop there…

Following the happy birthday wishes, Brooks speaks directly to her from the closest point of the stage, asking her name and the reason why she wants to hear him sing “Mom” in particular. 

Tragically, Sophie reveals that she had lost her son, Antoine, when he was just three years old, and that the song holds incredible significance to her. 

“It should never go in that order, so lets sing this because where babies come from is where babies go to,” Brooks says reassuringly. 

Throughout the emotionally-charged and uplifting performance, the spotlight shines steadfast on Sophie and audience members surround her, giving her a tissue to wipe her tears. This is truly one very, very special moment. 

Of the performance, Sophie says “I had requested to Antoine and God in a prayer before the show that Garth sing this song especially for me. I never imagined it would turn out to be such a divinely well-orchestrated moment.” 

The entire moment was captured by another fan and shared with the world and Sophie so that nobody ever forgets this beautiful and precious performance of “Mom”. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sophie and Antoine.
