LeAnn Rimes’ Rep Disputes Recent Claims About Her ‘Diva’ Attitude

ABC Newspoint

When LeAnn Rimes made her debut in 1996, she made her way into the industry with a cover of Bill Mack’s “Blue.” The song was a hit for LeAnn, and helped establish her as a household name among country music fans.

Despite the role that Bill played in kickstarting LeAnn’s career, stories have surfaced recently that show there may be tension between the two.

On Friday (April 8), Bill and his son, Billy, went to LeAnn’s concert at Billy Bob’s Texas restaurant in Fort Worth. But the meeting was not a postive one, at least according to Billy, who complained about LeAnn’s behavior in a post that has since been deleted from Facebook, but The New York Daily News saved in part:

“Her lack of humility, to her fans, my dad, Curb Records, or anyone else who has ever been in her corner in the early part of her career is hard, but a lil cute to watch. Sometimes it’s best to stay in LA. Don’t crawl back to Texas with a Kardashian attitude, expecting a Texas size applause.”

LeAnn’s rep spoke to Us Weekly about Billy’s claims, saying they are completely false. According to the rep, Billy shared his complaints about LeAnn long before the show had even started. The rep claims that instead of ignoring the Macks, LeAnn tried to meet with them before and after the concert, but they refused “for personal reasons.

In hindsight, Bill Mack and his son’s desire to see LeAnn on their time frame with no regard for the time frames that are part of every artist’s protocol before shows was the only ‘diva’ attitude going on,” the rep said.

LeAnn’s rep went on to say that she has no idea why the Macks would hold so much resentment toward her, since she has always admired and respected Bill.

LeAnn and her family love Bill Mack,” her rep said, going on to add. “LeAnn honored and thanked Bill Mack on the stage that night during her show before singing Bill Mack’s song ‘Blue.’ She did this all three nights of her shows in Texas.

Although we may never know what truly happened that night between LeAnn and the Macks, the one thing we do know is that LeAnn was born with natural talent as a singer. Tune in below to watch one of her stunning performances of “How Do I Live.”
