Thomas Rhett Shocks Fans With Legendary Secret Guest

Born into country royalty, Thomas Rhett definitely has some connections – especially when it comes to getting a surprise guest on stage for his devoted fans.
The 26-year-old country singer was already giving the audience a performance of a lifetime when he supercharged the concert with a surprise of legendary proportions.
Who was his secret weapon for “wowing” fans? None other than award-winning songwriter and musician, Rhett Akins.
Yup. You guessed it. He brought is infinitely talented country star father out on stage – but the best part is what they sang together!
Kicking off their powerhouse duet performances, they open with one of Rhett’s classic songs, “That Ain’t My Truck” but finish off with one of the his No. 1 hits sung by another artist, “Boys Round Here”.
Akins wrote the song in the early 2000s and, as he says in the video, he thought “nobody on Earth will ever record this” but Blake Shelton did just that and it became one of his biggest successes as a songwriter.
