There have been many different versions of this hit tune, but we’ve never heard it quite like this before…
Leonard Cohen penned “Hallelujah” back in 1984 at one of the lowest points of his career. While not an immediate success, the heart-wrenching tune went on to become his signature song, being covered countless times by people of all walks of life.
A wildly talented 12-year-old with mind-blowing skills decided to step up to the plate and try her hand at the tune. Erin Kirby of Georgia took an emotional approach to the song – bearing her soul through her moving delivery of the lyrics.
While Erin flawlessly executes her entire performance, you come to realize just how talented she is at the pinnacle moment of the song, where she delivers the chilling lyrics “It’s not a cry you hear at night, it’s not someone who’s seen the light, it’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah.”
Erin has achieved a staggering amount of success for someone of her age, with over 17,000 followers on her Instagram account and over a combined 200,000 views on her Youtube account. While she’s only 12 years old, the young talent yields more power and grace in her performances than people far her senior.
