Everyone knows just how powerfully beautiful Trisha Yearwood’s voice is. Whether you’ve heard it on the radio, in person, or you own one (and probably more) of her CDs, it’s easy to see why she’s a country music superstar.

Yearwood has built a thick catalog of hit songs in the last 25 years and sold millions of records in that time, but the incredible success of her latest project actually caught her off guard!

This leading lady of country music revealed that she began working on music for FOX’s The Passion: New Orleans without plans of ever recording a soundtrack.

The live television special (which featured Yearwood singing several new renditions of hit pop songs) is based on Jesus Christ’s last days and all of the music was chosen surrounding that.

When producers began airing ads promoting the upcoming special, they decided to use Yearwood’s cover of “Broken” as the featured music. And with that, the floodgates opened!

The song sparked a massive wave and calling on social media with fans requesting the full version of the song and begging to hear more. Not too long after, the song charted on Christian radio and quickly became a crossover hit on the Adult Contemporary chart as well. The song became so successful, in fact, that Yearwood had to put her current schedule on hold for some special appearances.

The songs immense success has even carried over into her current life performances while on tour with her husband, Garth Brooks. In a recent press release, Yearwood talks about the incredible experience.

“I love to look out from the stage and see fans with signs, requesting ‘Broken’. It’s proof to me how powerful the song is,” she began. “I felt it myself when I first heard the original version, sung by Lifehouse, and it’s confirmed each night on the road. I truly am blessed by ‘Broken’.”

Along with making amazing music that takes the world by storm, Yearwood is growing her passion for making a house a home by adding even more lines to her Trisha Yearwood brand.

Launching stunning new cookware, her Precious Metals Collection offers beautiful sets and individual pieces in either Titanium of Copper finishes featuring a ceramic non-stick cooking surface.

In addition, Yearwood has opened up a new line of home furniture that emphasize creating a beautiful and enjoyable living space.

The Trisha Yearwood Home Collection pairs timeless charm with inspiring designs that are bound to catch your eye and features pieces to build or complete the perfect home. Soon, she will be adding equally beautiful home accessories and spectacular rugs.
