Trace Adkins’ Music Video Shows A Torturous Internal Battle Between ‘Jesus & Jones’
on May 06, 2016
Each day we get a little closer to one of the most-anticipated album releases of the year, and today we got a glimpse into the direction the album is headed with the debut of the first single’s music video!
Trace Adkins has been a formidable leader in country music for many years, and as of late – has been ramping up excitement for his forthcoming (unnamed) album.
Currently, he’s issued one single from the album and it’s already got fans raving! Launching today, the accompanying music video debuted giving a unique perspective following along to the songs deep lyrics.
Charting more than 20 singles in his career and landing many No. 1 hits, “Jesus and Jones” is definitely making its way to become a major hit for the singer – and the video only solidifies that.
Co-written by fellow country star, Tyler Farr, the song (and video) weaves a story of a man trapped in an internal battle for an innumerable amount of years trying to be like Jesus Christ and also, like country legend George Jones.
Portrayed in the video, the battle finds him waking up to a house that’s been destroyed by a raging party (literally sofa on the lawn), him walking out and getting into a pickup trying to leave that part of his life behind and heading toward a church…
Watch this compelling video played to the incredible hit single below, but be warned: you’ll be begging Trace to drop his new album ASAP.
