Miranda Lambert Is Her Mom’s Mini-Me In Adorable Throwback Pic

The Stir

This Mother’s Day, country stars took to social media to share special photos of their moms to thank them for everything they do. But it was Miranda Lambert who shared the most adorable throwback photo of the day.

Miranda grew up in Texas, where her father, Rick, and her mother, Beverly, served as private investigators. All throughout her life, Miranda’s parents and her brother, Luke, have served as huge sources of support for her.

Today, Miranda and her mom remain especially close. In 2009, Miranda and Beverly helped cofound the MuttNation Foundation, which is an organization that fights against animal cruelty and also runs an animal shelter.

Miranda’s admiration for her mother was made clear in the post she wrote to honor her for Mother’s Day. The adorable photo she shared shows Luke in her father’s arms, while her mother rests her hand on Miranda’s shoulder. Wearing in a cute yellow dress with a matching hat, Miranda’s smile is almost as big as her mom’s hair in the photo.

Of course, Beverly’s big hair got a mention in Miranda’s caption, as she wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to the original keeper of the flame. Beverly June Lambert. I love you! #mama #bighairbigheart

What a cute family! Is it just us, or does Miranda look an awful lot like her mom?

Miranda has always held her family close to her heart. For the compilation album Southern Family, Miranda wrote and recorded a song called “Sweet By & By,” in which she reflects on her Southern upbringing and all of the lessons she learned from her parents. You can listen to the song in the clip below.

We hope Beverly and all of the other country music mamas had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
