Adam Wakefield Belts Iconic 70s Country Jam In Fiery Performance

YouTube/The Voice

The long-haired country hopeful took the stage for one of his most impressive performances yet during the live rounds of the show.

Known for his chair-turning blind audition and super-country sound, this Team Blake contender changed his repertoire up and issued a heart-stopping ballad straight from the 70s country charts.

With flames drawn in the background for added ambiance, Adam Wakefield sings a soft, piano-filled rendition of “Love Has No Pride”

The song was originally sung by Bonnie Raitt in 1972 on her album Give It Up, but brought into the country fold when Linda Ronstadt sent her country-rock version to a high-landing spot on the charts just a year later.

In this turned-up performance, a cityscape is the backdrop as young Wakefield takes the audience back to one of the greatest times in country music.
