Indiana Feek continues to amaze her father on a daily basis, and a recent video he shared of her proves exactly that.
Before Joey passed away, she and Rory decided on a school they wanted Indy to go to. They ended up picking a place called High Hopes, a preschool and physical therapy center that specializes in teaching children with special needs like Indy, who has Down Syndrome.
Indy has been attending High Hopes a few days each week, and Rory has been in awe of the progress she’s made in such a short amount of time. When it comes to her therapy, Indy has started to improve her speech and is slowly learning how to walk. Last week, Indy’s big sister, Heidi, shared a short video of her helping Indy walk, and now Indy’s therapists are continuing to help her through the use of a special “walker.”
Rory shared a heartwarming video of Indy in therapy to the Joey + Rory Facebook, which shows Indy in a walker-like device. As Indy’s therapist calls out to her, she kicks and moves her feet and starts walking forward, before she finally reaches her therapist and gets her reward…a baby doll. Indy’s adorable little laugh after she reaches her goal shows how fun the whole experience was for her, and it’s so sweet to watch.
As nice as it was for Indy to get to hug the baby doll after she walked with her walker, there was one part of her physical therapy she loved more than anything else. For the first time, Indy was able to stand face to face with one of her friends at school, and she wrapped her arms around her in a big hug. Rory shared a photo of this touching moment as well, which really speaks for itself.
We’re so proud of Indy and all she’s accomplished! It’s been a joy to watch her grow, and we’ll continue to cheer her on in the months and years to come.
