Ever since Garth Brooks kicked off his World Tour, millions of fans have poured out to see the “Friends in Low Places” singer in concert. Brooks’ tour has been so successful he continues to break the ticket sales records everywhere he goes. Because tickets to his shows sell out fast, Brooks often has to add additional dates to each city he appears in.

Following a concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday night (May 14), Brooks gained a new fan when one country-loving couple named Emily and Jacob welcomed a baby boy into the world. But what makes their story truly unique is the fact that Emily went into labor during Brooks’ concert.

In an interview with FOX 17 West Michigan, Jacob said that they had scheduled a C-section for Monday, so they decided to go to Brooks’ Saturday night show as opposed to the one on Sunday. But it seems their baby boy was ready to come into the world a little sooner than they planned, because Emily started having contractions during the concert.

She was actually in labor during the concert,” Jacob revealed.

Somehow, Emily made it all the way through Brooks’ final encore, which wrapped up around two in the morning on Sunday. After that, she and Jacob went to the hospital, where they welcomed their son, Jaxson, at 5:30 a.m.

Since Jaxson was almost born in the middle of Brooks’ concert, Jacob feels confident that his son is going to grow up to be a huge fan of country music as well.

He’s got to be, especially after this,” Jacob said. “I’m definitely keeping that ticket stub for his baby book, that’s for sure.

Both mom and baby are doing well, and we can’t wait to hear what Brooks has to say about this if he finds out! One thing’s for certain, it will certainly be a night that Emily and Jacob will never forget.
