Kenny Chesney‘s Spread The Love tour was one big party. He traveled all over the country with Miranda Lambert, Old Dominion and Sam Hunt, and put on amazing shows every single night.

The highlight of his show might be when he sings his biggest hits like “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” “I Go Back,” “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem,” and “Beer in Mexico,” but what stand out to us are his covers.

For his show in Uncasville, Connecticut, Chesney surprised fans with a cover of one of The King of Country’s most beloved songs, “Oceanfront Property.”

George Strait released “Oceanfront Property” in 1986 off his album of the same name and it quickly became a number one hit.

Just from the title of the song, it’s no surprise why Chesney decided to cover it. It completely goes with his persona of “beach-country.”

In reality, the lyrics tell the story of a man who compares the impossibility of moving on from his significant other to finding an ocean front property in a landlocked state.

Chesney rocks this song and would make The King proud! Watch his performance below.
