Us Weekly Magazine just revealed Carrie Underwood’s smokin’ hot cover picture, but she wasn’t always as confident with her body as she is today.

In the Best Bodies issue, which is on stands now, Underwood reveals that she was made fun of because of her weight while she competed – and won – on the fourth season of American Idol

“Back when I was on American Idol, I was a bit heavier than I am now,” she told Us Magazine. “That was the first time I was exposed to the public talking about me, so it was impossible not to look online and see what they were saying. Apparently I was fat. Of course I wasn’t, but sometimes words people choose are not the nicest.”

She appeared on the show when she was just 21-years-old, and people were calling her fat! The bullying hit her hard, and especially after she had her son, Isaiah, she decided to start over with “a new set of rules”.

I feel much better now at 33 than I did when I was 20 because I take better care of myself,” she reveals. She now maintains a complete vegan diet and exercises regularly. She even incorporates Isaiah into her workouts!

We’re so happy Carrie is confident now, because she has every reason to be, she always has!
