When Hospice Patient Wanted To Meet Blake Shelton He Brought Her Backstage To See Him

For many, it would be a dream come true to be able to meet their favorite country singer. For one woman named Brenda, it’s the dream of a lifetime.

Hospice Care Plus in Richmond, Kentucky, shared on Facebook that their patient, Brenda, expressed her desire to see a Blake Shelton concert. Brenda, who has cancer, wanted to see Blake as soon as possible, out of fear she’d eventually become too weak to go to one of his concerts.

Seeing Blake in concert was what Brenda called her “dream wish,” but Hospice Care Plus decided to go one step further toward making her dream come true. They reached out to Blake’s publicist and fan club to see if Blake could actually come meet Brenda personally. When they didn’t receive any response, they reached out to their followers on Facebook, asking if anyone had connections in the music industry that could tell Blake about Brenda.

Well, the message got to the right people, because when Brenda attended Blake’s concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame on Monday (June 6), Blake took the time to meet with her backstage after the show.

Hospice Care Plus shared a touching photo of Blake embracing Brenda, and the look on her face says it all. They promised to share more pictures soon, thanking Blake for taking the time to meet Brenda and calling him “a hospice hero.

How awesome is it that Blake took the time to make Brenda’s dream come true? We know it’s a day she’s sure to never forget.

This is yet another one of the many reasons why we love Blake!
