Out of all the artists that have ever made their way into country music’s history, Patsy Cline is one of the most timeless. While her career was short-lived, her impact on the country music industry was not. Today, Cline continues to serve as a source of inspiration to modern artists such as LeAnn Rimes, as well as aspiring artists waiting to make their big break.

One such artist is 13-year-old Emily Bass, who has started to generate a small but passionate fanbase in a little less than a year. Interest in her peaked after she posted a cover of Cam‘s “Burning House” on her personal YouTube channel, which is now her second highest viewed video of all time.

In February 2016, Emily was given the opportunity many can only dream of. She had the chance to go to Dallas, Texas in order to audition for America’s Got Talent. According to the pictures she shared on her Facebook from the day of her audition, it was a fun experience for her.

Since Emily’s been back from her audition, she’s kept busy singing and performing. While she’s covered various artists over time, including Adele, Emily decided to bring it back to country with Cline’s classic hit “Crazy” during a performance at Celebration Music School in Texas.

Anyone who knows music well can tell you that “Crazy” is not an easy song to sing. But Emily soars into it with so much ease, you’d never guess she’s only 13 years old. Her voice has the same beautiful, vintage quality of Cline’s, which makes her performance all the more remarkable.

As you listen to this talented young lady sing, you’ll be astonished by the maturity and control of her voice. She sings the high notes with just as much power and precision as those in the lower register, and knows exactly how to style her voice for added effect.

You can watch Emily’s jaw-dropping performance in the video below. We believe there’s a place waiting for her in country music! How about you?
