You may not know the name Craig Wiseman, but you definitely know his work!

He has written hits for artists including Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes and Blake Shelton.

His songs have won Grammys, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, NSAI Awards, and have charted in the country, pop, adult contemporary, and rock genres.

He has collaborated multiple times with Shelton for a couple of his biggest hits, “Hillbilly Bone” and “Boys ‘Round Here”.

Songwriters hardly ever get to perform the songs they write, so fans in the audience at the Stars for Second Harvest benefit concert on Tuesday (June 7) were in for a treat when he stood on stage with Shelton to sing one of their hits!

Wiseman told the story of how he and fellow songwriters Rhett Akins and Dallas Davidson wrote “Boys ‘Round Here” together.

After they were finished, they were convinced that “nobody with any sense in any career seriousness will ever cut this song.” The next thing he heard was that Shelton loved the song!

The audience erupted in laughter! Together, they sang their 2013 mega-hit “Boys ‘Round Here” with Wiseman singing some of the parts where the Pistol Annies and RaeLynn harmonize.

The performance was thoroughly entertaining and we can see now why these two gentlemen work very well together. They have the same sense of humor!
