Do You Remember Shania Twain Swearing At Jeff Foxworthy During The 2005 CMT Awards?

Many of you might have missed this part of the show from over a decade ago, but we are here to give you a refresher on what exactly was happening way back in 2005! 

Shania Twain, one of country music’s most celebrated and beloved female artists, and famous Southern comedian, Jeff Foxworthy, teamed up to open the show – but it wasn’t quite what fans expected. 

It all began with a phone call to Shania from Jeff. Once she opened that flip phone, it all got crazy from there. 

“He look I’m having a party!” Jeff hollers into his phone at Shania. 

“A party? Who is this??” She fired back. 

“Jeff!” he says plainly…but she might have had the wrong idea. 

“Jeff Gordon?!” she said excited. 

And that’s just a tidbit of how this funny, and odd, skit went about. And Jeff wasn’t too keen on being mixed up with the NASCAR driver. 

Baffled and lost in all the confusion, Shania let out a few choice expletives at the comedian while he’s getting ramped up for his “party” at which, he says, he’ll be wearing his “sexy socks”.
