Chris Stapleton Rides Off Into The Sunset With Soulful Performance Of ‘Parachute’
on Jun 08, 2016
It was no surprise to those who tuned in to the CMT Music Awards that Chris Stapleton ended up delivering one of the most unforgettable performances of the night. Along with his wife, Morgane, country music’s breakout star took the crowd on a wild ride.
Chris chose to perform his most recent single “Parachute,” which is his third release off of his Grammy-winning album, Traveller. Like the singles that came before it, “Parachute” has been yet another hit for Stapleton, and has made its way into the Top 50 on both the U.S. and Canadian country charts.
For the CMT Music Awards performance, Chris and Morgane took to the stage while a backdrop of a Western-style sunset glowed on the screens behind them. As always, Morgane stood right by her husband’s side as he sang, and grooved along to the music while she played the tambourine.
Chris ended up delivering a performance packed with emotion and soul. You can tell as you watch him sing that he went out there with a mission to leave it all on the stage. Well, we’d say mission accomplished!
The crowd agreed that Chris’ performance was outstanding, as made clear by their roaring cheers and applause once he wrapped up the song.
Every time we watch Chris perform, we come to an even greater realization as to why he’s one of the genre’s biggest stars right now. You can see for yourself in his performance of “Parachute” by clicking here.
