At one of the lowest points of his career, Leonard Cohen wrote what would go on to define his entire career, the emotionally-charged ballad “Hallelujah.” While there are no doubt countless renditions of Cohen’s masterpiece, in a sea of thousands, one definitely shines above the rest.

A 15-year-old singer with surreal talent delivered a jaw-dropping rendition of “Hallelujah.” Armed with her acoustic guitar, the young singer delivered a stripped-down rendition of Cohen’s song, exuding the amount of emotion necessary to properly execute the powerful lyrics.

The girl behind the voice, Erin Bloomer, was born and raised in the south of England and has been seemingly singing since she could talk. The singer-songwriter has achieved a wild amount of success even at such a young age, accumulating over 101,000 followers on Instagram as well as an excess of 18,000 views on her YouTube account.

You can hear Erin’s cover of “Hallelujah” below.
