There really ain’t no party like a parking lot party! Blake Shelton sparked an epic dance party in the middle of a parking lot with a countrified rendition of “Footloose.”
The country singer resurrected the critically acclaimed anthem of the 1984 musical drama, Footloose, with a rowdy rendition of the line dancing classic. Set in a drive-in movie theatre with the 2011 version of the film playing in the background, Shelton steps up onto the bed of his truck and kicked off the insane dance party in the middle of the parking lot.
After a fatal car crash resulting in the death of five teens, the town of Bomont, Georgia put a ban on dancing with the instruction of Reverend Moore, the father of one of the deceased. Three years later and incomes Boston native, Ren McCormack who comes to the town on a mission to stir things up with the help of the Reverend’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, played by Julianne Hough.
After the teens fight ruthlessly to overrule the ban on dancing so they could “cut loose” at prom, the graduating high school seniors dance it out country style in a barn to the beloved tune.
