From the moment Tim McGraw heard “Lincoln Continentals and Cadillacs”, he knew just who he wanted to be on the track with him. After partying together over a decade prior, the country singer was dying to finally put out a song with one of the most beloved Detroit-natives, the one and only, Kid Rock.

“When I first heard the demo I knew I wanted Kid Rock to do it with me,” McGraw shared with Taste of Country. “I just felt like it was the perfect song for he and I to do. I’m a huge fan of his, I think that he’s just a great, great singer.”

“Lincoln Continentals and Cadillacs” is featured on the deluxe version of McGraw’s album Sundown Heaven Town. The smooth country song pays a festive homage to the traditional ways of the south. The song reels you in with the upbeat pace, captivating with the flirty lyrics detailing the thrills of young love.

McGraw recalled that one of the most fun nights of his life was with the rocker, going on to share that Rock lived up to his reputation of really knowing how to party.

“One of the most fun nights I’ll never remember was with Kid Rock,” McGraw recalled. “He came to the show and after the show my band and I and Billy Gibbons was there, from ZZ Top…We went back to his place, in his studio and all plugged in and played…We played every ’70s rock song we know.”
