Glen Campbell will transport you to a cool summer night with his dazzling performance of “Southern Nights” at his event The Midnight Special.

The country singer took center stage for his performance of his iconic country hit. Campbell’s delivery of “Southern Nights” is unparalleled, flawlessly executing the lyrics with ease.

“Southern Nights” was released in 1977 from Glen’s album of the same name. Of course, the fun, upbeat tune made its way to number one on three separate US music charts and two Canadian charts. Surprisingly for Campbell, the song caught the attention of both country and pop audiences – spreading its popularity fast.

The storytelling song has since been certified gold and was even used in the 2017 film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

As we could have guessed from the title, the song is about the beauty of nights in the south. Campbell paints the perfect picture for us when he says,

“Have you ever felt a southern night / Free as a breeze / Not to mention the trees / Whistling tunes that you know and love so.”

This song makes us wish we were in the south right now, looking up at that beautiful sky and feeling the perfect breeze!

Standing before a neon-lit stage with a series of musicians behind him, Campbell puts on one heck of a show! Rocking blue jeans with a mustard-yellow design and white button-up shirt, he came to give the audience just what they hoped for.

Campbell passed away in 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease, but his legacy lives on in his music and performances like this one!
