Performing together for over 50 years as a group, singing trio The Masqueraders proved can still perform with the best of them. Back for their second performance on the nation’s biggest talent competition, America’s Got Talent, the cowboy crooners once again stole the show with a heavenly rendition of Sam Cooke‘s “Bring It on Home to Me.”
“We never stop dreaming,” said one of the group members prior to their performance. “When things didn’t look good we kept dreaming, and we believed in ourselves so that’s why we kept on doing it.”
The group had their first moment in the spotlight back in 1968 when they managed to mount original song “I Ain’t Got To Love Nobody Else” onto the Hot 100. Fast forward almost exactly 50 years later, and the group is proving it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
“Bring It on Home to Me” was released by Cooke in 1962, going on to hit number two on Billboard’s R&B chart in addition to being classified as one of the “500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll” by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
