In a heartbreaking performance, country music singer Jenn Bostic blows everyone away in a tribute to her father with her ballad “Jealous of the Angels.”

“This next song I’m going to share with you is one that is so close to my heart,” Bostic shares on stage at the Grand Ole Opry. “When I was 10 years old I was in a really bad car accident that took my dad with it. He was the first person to ever encourage me to make music.”

Bostic goes on to explain that when she wrote the song in honor of her father she went home and prayed to God to show her a sign that her father was looking proudly down at her, and continued that prayer for two months straight.

She finally got her sign on Christmas Eve when her best friend called her up to tell her she had been visited the previous night by Jenn’s father in a dream and was asked to deliver this message to his daughter: “Please tell Jenn that I’m so proud of her and that I’m at everyone of her shows.”

In her heartbreakingly beautiful performance, Jenn fights back tears while singing the words she wrote to help her mourn the death of her father. It’s safe to say that her father was there alongside the rest of the audience cheering his daughter on.
