Former American Idol Hopeful Sings Heartfelt Cover Of “American Soldier” (VIDEO)

A hopeful of season 10 of American Idol, John Wayne Schulz, brings tears to the eyes of a few of our service members as he sings a rendition of Toby Keith‘s “American Soldier” to them in Pearl Harbor, HI.
Taking the time to explain his family history with the military, John then begins to sing to these sailors of the US Navy, and the emotions on their faces says it all. The song resonates with them, and John does the song justice even ending it a little differently for the audience he is singing for.
Ending with a round of applause, we can’t help but applaud John in his rendition of this classic.
