A true country music icon and class act, Jim Ed Brown has left a legacy that will live on forever through his wonderful music and his beloved family.
The country music legend passed away on June 11 at the age of 81, leaving behind his wife of 52 years, Becky, and his daughter and son.
Brown accomplished two of his biggest dreams before his death. The first was to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, which he achieved in March, with the official induction taking place at his room at the Williamson Medical Center in June. His second goal was to record a new album, and over 30 years after his last album’s release, he made that dream a reality, too.
His final album, In Style Again, was released in January 2015 and features the beautiful song “It’s A Good Life.” One of his last songs, Jim Ed Brown reflects on his life, the ups and downs, and how no matter what was put in front of him, it was still a good life.
The tribute video below shows pictures of special moments throughout his life with his friends and family, of his amazing career, and clips of him recording his last album.
With a successful music and radio career, many chart-topping hits such as “Pop a Top”, “I Heard The Bluebird Sing”, and “The Three Bells” and a heart of gold, he will forever remain in our hearts.
