A mere 9-years-old during the untimely death of her legendary father, Lisa Marie Presley holds dear to the mental memories and photos she has to remember the man she called “daddy”. Elvis Presley was 42 when he died, sending not only his family but the entire world into a state of mourning for the icon.

Years prior to the birth of his daughter, Presley had recorded Leon Payne’s hit song “Because I love You”, essentially becoming one of Presley’s very first recordings released by RCA Records. The song, speaking of undying love for another based on who they are as a person, captured fans and broke hearts.

It was only fitting for the daughter of this legend to have the opportunity to perform a duet with her father, seeing as his music was not only groundbreaking but widely loved. As it had been years since the passing of “The King”, making this daughter’s dream into a reality took a bit more creativity. Fortunately, the music industry thrives on creativity.

With Presley’s original recording playing in the background, Lisa Marie was able to harmonize with her father and pour her heart out in a beautiful and emotionally charged duet. A heart-wrenching music video was created for the seemingly impossible duet, showcasing various photos and moments of the father and daughter prior to Presley’s death. The footage, without a doubt, identifies the profound and undying love that Presley had for his daughter.
