Mercedes-Benz is widely recognized for its luxury automobiles often chosen by the rich and the famous. While the brand has typically stayed in its comfort zone of sedans, SUV's, coupes, and wagons, the ritzy automotive mogul is in the process of manufacturing what they call "The first premium pickup [that] will combine the best of two worlds."
Called the "Concept X-CLASS", this futuristic looking truck is said to be fit for the rough terrain encountered during your classic off-roading endeavor, although this luxurious purchase may be one you'd instead like to polish and pamper. This vehicle, deemed "the world’s first true premium pickup for the modern urban lifestyle", is aiming to target a wealthier and more urbanized demographic, claiming to "focus on five customer groups." Those groups are identified as "families with an active lifestyle", "successful adventurers", "trend-conscious individualists", "building contractors, architects, and service providers", and "landowners".
Mercedes-Benz's parent company, Daimler, released an intriguing first-look at the fall of 2017 debuting truck, saying,
"Our future X-Class will be a pickup that knows no compromise. Ladder-type frame, high-torque six-cylinder engine, and permanent all-wheel drive are compulsory for us. As an added value we bring safety, comfort, agility, and expressive design – in other words, everything that distinguishes vehicles bearing the Mercedes star. We will thus appeal to new customers who have not considered owning a pickup before."
The newest edition to the coveted luxury line comes equipped with a high-torque six-cylinder engine, permanent all-wheel drive, agility, comfort, and essentially "everything that distinguishes vehicles bearing the Mercedes star."
Well, you've heard all the goodies! Would you purchase this truck?
