Rare 1989 Interview Shows Newly-Married Reba McEntire Gushing Over Narvel Blackstock

Reba McEntire has been making headlines recently. Whether it be announcing her separation from her husband of 26 years, or the release of her brand new single, Reba is trending on just about every social media platform.
Entertainment Tonight has uncovered an interview with Reba from 1989, shortly after she married her manager and soon-to-be-ex-husband, Narvel Blackstock.
She was previously married and divorced before she and Narvel dated, so the interviewer asked if she thought she would ever find love again. To which she responded, “Oh sure. Most definitely. I’m a loving person. I don’t like to be alone.”
She also said,
“I do trust Narvel, explicitly. That’s why I married him. I love him and I trust him very much.”
Although their marriage is over, they said in a joint statement that they will continue to work together in a professional manner, as they have been for the past 35 years.
