Missy Robertson Dedicates Beautiful Song To Her ‘Inspiration,’ Her Daughter Mia

Occasionally on Mondays, Duck Dynasty star Missy Robertson writes a blog post for what she calls “Missy Motivational Monday.” She includes some motivation for the upcoming week and ties it in with a bible verse or two.

The week of her daughter Mia’s 13th birthday, her Motivational Monday blog was dedicated to her little girl.

As most of you know, Jase and Missy Robertson’s youngest child and only daughter, Mia, was born with a cleft lip and palette. Because of her condition, she has been forced to have multiple surgeries, but she has always remained positive.

“Mia motivates me today and almost every day to remember to leave my problems at Jesus’ feet. He has already taken care of them,” Missy wrote on her blog. “You are my inspiration.”

She also shared Mia’s favorite bible verse, Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”

Before one of Mia’s many surgeries, Missy recorded a song for her titled “Angel Child” to let Mia know how she really feels about her.

According to Missy’s website, “the song is dedicated to children in need, who face challenges such as cleft lip and palate, as well as others.”

The Robertsons formed the Mia Moo Fund, whose slogan is “Because Every Kid Deserves A Smile,” to raise awareness and help kids around the world with similar problems.

“Angel Child” is available for download on iTunes and all proceeds go to the Mia Moo Fund to help bring a smile to kids all over the world.

Watch the emotional song, you’ll be glad you did.
