Luke Bryan Serenades Today Show Host With His Favorite Tunes

When Today Show host Hota Kotb showed up for work on August 16th, she probably never expected to get a live show!

Luke Bryan sat down with her for the Today Show on Sirius XM Radio. Hoda started off the conversation by asking him what songs he liked to cover when he was a kid.

His response? “The Dance” by Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio songs, and lots of Brooks & Dunn songs. Hoda then asked if he still knew how to play some of those songs on the guitar, to which Luke said, “Oh heck yea!

Hoda looked surprised and motioned towards a guitar sitting quietly in the background. Luke picked it up and started playing Brooks and Dunn’s “Little Miss Honkey Tonk” and “My Next Broken Heart”.

Luke just started playing random chords and started to jam, which really showed off his guitar skills! In between chords, he talked a little bit about his writing process, then broke into rock band Extreme’s love song, “More Than Words
