Eight years following the 9/11 tragedy that shook America, Toby Keith stood on stage and asked “Do you remember how you felt on September, 11th 2001?“.

Following the crowd’s emotional cheers, Toby said, “Don’t ever forget that feeling. I wrote a song about how I felt.”

Shortly after, Toby began singing the song we all know and love, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)”. Moments later, the audience was surprised with a special guest… Trace Adkins

Toby and Trace teamed up and began belting out the powerful song. Through this intensely patriotic performance, Toby and Trace brought up several troops to join in on their tribute to America and 9/11.

Toby and Trace’s patriotism comes to life in this unbelievably powerful performance, and we’re sure y’all will love it!

In late 2001, after 9/11, Toby was inspired to write the powerful patriotic tune, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)”. The song was released in early 2002 as the lead single from his album, Unleashed. As we could have guessed, the emotional song topped the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, and peaked at #24 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart.

Check out the passionate tribute below.

R.I.P. to all the lives lost, we will never forget you.
